| | | | | Eleven European Capital Cities and Regions gathered yesterday to highlight their experience in delivering prosperity based on smart, inclusive and green growth. Participants questioned Johannes HAHN, Commissioner for Regional Policy, about the proposals on the table. Discussions focused on the foreseen urban tools and on how these would fit to Capital Cities and Regions. All speakers, including Eberhard VAN DER LAAN, Mayor of Amsterdam, CoR member Georgios KAMINIS, Mayor of Athens, Kit MALTHOUSE, Deputy Mayor of London for Business and Enterprise and Pierre KANUTY, President of Ile-de-France Europe, echoed their concerns about the 2014-2020 Multiannual Financial Framework. They made clear that should their territories not benefit from adequate funding, their achievement of Europe 2020 objectives may be very unlikely. More | | | | | |
